When Complaining Is Pride: Lessons from the Wilderness

In this week’s teaching, we walk with Moses and the Israelites as they begin their journey toward the Promised Land—but complaints quickly follow. From the lighting of the menorah to the grumbling for meat, the Book of Numbers reveals how complaining often masks a deeper issue: pride.

We explore how God calls His people to humility and trust, even when the road is difficult. Alongside Moses’ narrative in Numbers 8–12, Zechariah’s prophetic visions, and Paul’s warning in 1 Corinthians 10, we ask ourselves: Are we following God’s leading—or resisting it in pride?
